Mayoral Forum Hosted by the Native Community

Join us for a Native Mayoral Forum Wednesday, June 25th at American Indian OIC (1845 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404) located right at the Franklin light rail station. The Forum will be hosted by Make Voting a Tradition with co-sponsors American Indian OIC, Indian Health Board, Community Power, and Vote Climate.

The purpose of this free, public forum is to be educational to both candidates and voters on community concerns & issues, especially around Minneapolis’ Indigenous community and equitably addressing climate change on the local government level.

The Q & A will go from 6:30 –  8:00 p.m. at the American Indian OIC 1845 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis. Doors open to the public at 6:00 p.m.

Candidates will be encouraged to remain after the Q & A portion concludes to participate in a meet & greet with the public. Food trucks from Pow Wow Grounds will be on site for the duration of the event.

The forum will be held in front of a live audience, and live streamed for those who wish to watch online, and recorded for later viewing by a crew from MCN6 TV.

We invite and encourage community members to submit questions answer ahead of time for mayoral candidates to answer at the forum by sending an email to voting@nacdi.org
