NACDI and IHB Fourth Annual Pickle Off
The Native American Community Development Institute and Indian Health Board are teaming up for our 4th annual Pickle Off! Under Manoominike-giizis (wild rice moon) / Psiŋhnaketu Wi (rice drying moon), our Four Sisters Food Sovereignty program celebrates the act of storing and preserving goods for the long winter we face in Minnesota with a friendly community competition open to all.
Join us on September 25th at the Four Sisters Farmers Market (1414 E. Franklin Ave).
First-place winners in spicy, sweet, dill (all cucumber), and other pickle categories go home with a trophy, and all contestants go home with an award. Community members will also get to vote on a “community favorite” pickle. Sign up to participate using this form: https://forms.gle/51sg9VodRp9embBC9
There will also be a giveaway with other prizes for market attendees, an arts activity, pickle taste-testing, and our regular weekly market.
