Destiny Jones
Destiny Jones was born in the Twin Cities and split her upbringing between here, Chicago, and the homelands of her tribe – the Hocak Nation of Wisconsin. After graduating from the American University of Paris, Destiny returned to the US during the height of the Uprising with a desire to aid her community and reconnect with her culture and establish community. For the last three years, she has been working in food systems and volunteering in food justice initiatives around Minneapolis before landing at NACDI as the Food Sovereignty Coordinator and Farmers Market Manager at Four Sisters.
Destiny is interested in developing a safe space for all that unifies the ideas of communal support and wellbeing, and aspires to be an involved member of her community wherever she lives. She enjoys gardening, laying in the sun, and keeping herself busy. She does not enjoy anise flavors.
