June 30th MPRB and NACDI East Phillips Park Park Community Feedback Gathering

NACDI is co-hosting three evenings on June 16th, 30th, and July 15th, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the East Phillips Community Center (2307 17th Ave. S., Minneapolis) with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Join us to share a meal, conversations, and feedback on three drafted designs for the East Phillips Park in the East Phillips neighborhood.

The project team heard a lot of ideas from residents throughout the neighborhood. The priorities and topics that people focused on included:

  • Addressing safety
  • Improving the park’s existing water feature, playground, and athletic fields
  • Incorporating social and cultural aspects from the neighborhood
  • Adding greenery
  • Accessibility for all

 

All are welcome to this event. Spanish and Somali translations will be available at all three events.
